Liverpool v MAN CITY – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team

28 Feb

Bacary Sagna could replace Pablo Zabaleta on the right of defence if Manuel Pellegrini wants to inject some fresh legs into his side. Martin Demichelis should again see off competition from Eliaquim Mangala at the heart of the back four, with Gael Clichy and Aleks Kolarov vying for a spot on the left.

Back Sergio Aguero at 11/2 or David Silva at 13/1 to grab the first goal of the game!

Yaya Touré will return after sitting out the midweek Champions League defeat due to suspension, whilst Fernandinho, whose omission against Barcelona was baffling in the extreme, should also come back. Jesus Navas and James Milner will hope that Pellegrini selects just one striker, but Wilfried Bony could be a contender to make his debut.

Here is the side Pellegrini could select:

Manchester City 4-2-2-2 football formation

Referee: Mark Clattenburg.

Prediction: Liverpool 1 – 2 MAN CITY – With the hosts having played a full 120 minutes on Thursday in Turkey and then having returned at 4:30am, City should have a distinct advantage heading into this clash. After all the justified criticism that has followed Pellegrini and his players since Tuesday’s shambles, they ought to come out fighting and ready to show their best. I’ll back goals from Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Philippe Coutinho.

There are worse bets to find than Vincent Kompany at 41/1 to open the scoring. Open an account here and get a free bet of up £25.

I hope we stick it to b.r tomorrow he’s a arrogant knob. The most irritating manager ever… We’re definitely overdue a good day at anfield. On a side issue we must work harder, bony when he came on the other night let pique Run 60 yards past him. That’s not the way its done Mr b… I’ll be keeping a beedy one on you’ let’s see if we can finish with 11 men with no stupid freekicks around the box. Big improvement needed, I’m looking at you Vincent. (Armchair amateur)

I would definitely play Bony instead of Dzeko. Skirtle is a thug and playing a bad ass upfront should give him something to think about. Dzeko is a kind of soft player despite his physique.

Liverpool front are fast so I would also pick Mangala over Martin D.

Time to go Pellegrini, same subs every match, no plan b, failure to inspire a half decent team to beat even the likes of Middlesboro in a winnable competition, you are a joke Pellegrini, im not bothering supporting City all the time this clowns in charge.

    Pelligrini out and fast!

What an awlfull match to watch. City was over power and over run all through. This Liverpool team that played 120mins on thursday played city like that was really a shame.City midfield was so empty and our captain is gradually finishing.Infact most of the players are below exspectstion. No more attractive football.Mr pellegrini should really do something about Milners contract fast and put on the field people who are willing to play and work for the team all through ninty mins. Lastly as rightly said ,city should b thinking of changing our team and Bony should b starting.when things are not going right pellegrini doesnot have plan B at all.we were looking lost and confused in the gane that is unlike my man city.
