Sunderland v MAN CITY – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team

2 Dec

With Vincent Kompany injured and Eliaquim Mangala suspended, Martin Demichelis will be partnered at the heart of defence by either Dedryck Boyata or Bacary Sagna. Matija Nastasic, whose treatment this season by Manuel Pellegrini seems a little spiteful, perhaps as a result of the Serb’s refusal to leave in the summer, supposedly has a groin problem that should keep him out for a week…

Yaya Touré is a tempting 7/1 to score the first goal of the game! Open an account with Paddy Power here and get a free bet of up to £25.

In midfield, Fernando may be an option if the manager wants to offer a touch more protection to a new back four, while James Milner and Frank Lampard are both pushing for starts after impressive substitute appearances away to Southampton.

Pablo Zabaleta is due a goal and he’s a cracking 33/1 to score the opener. Bet £10 and get a £20 bet free!

Here is the side Pellegrini could select:

Manchester City 4-2-3-1 football formation

Referee: Craig Pawson.

Prediction: Sunderland 1 – 2 MAN CITY – Recent tradition dictates a 1-0 home victory after City have dominated possession, but it’s as good a time as any to arrest our Stadium of Light slump. The home side worked tirelessly at home to Chelsea at the weekend and we have to hope their endeavours in that game affect them come full time. Either way, if we show the same appetite as against Southampton, we should have enough for the three points.

Martin Demichelis is a surefire starter and he’s 26/1 to grab the first goal. Get a free bet of up to £25 here!

Sergio Aguero to score the only goal of the game is a wonderful 18/1. Get a £20 bet free when you bet £10!

Not sure about that midfield VfaB. We have another tough game on Saturday, share the work out a bit. That’s two great players in Yaya and Lamps, yes, but also that’s two set’s of ageing legs.

I’d rather see Pellers go with Fernando as a sweeper and push Yaya forward into the hole behind Kun. It will be tighter defensively, bearing in mind we have a makeshift CH pairing.

Lamps has been excellent for us but we will have a very thin bench defensively and he is a great option for change.

Touche. Lampard should make an excellent impact substitute. I personally do not prefer pairing both Yaya and Lampard. We can start with Fernando and Yaya and hopefully if we close the game in the first half. Lampard can come for Yaya and he gets rested for Everton game

If we aint going to play deadly derrick then why is he in the squad. Would rather Yaya at Cb, who has played that position in a Euro cup final than Sagna. Either way we need to put the bloody Mackems to the sword for once and kill the bogey team tag.
