Arsenal v MAN CITY – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team

28 Mar

Matija Nastasic remains sidelined with a mystery injury and Micah Richards has not made the trip to London,  so the only change to the back four will likely see Aleks Kolarov replace Gael Clichy in the never-ending rotating left-back role.

David Silva is a teasing 10/1 to open the scoring, with Fernandinho a tempting 14/1 to do the same. Open an account here with Paddy Power and receive a free bet of up to £50!

There was a brief concern on Thursday evening that David Silva had suffered an ankle knock in the derby but in his pre-match press conference Manuel Pellegrini declared the Spanish wizard available for tomorrow’s encounter, so that leaves James Milner, Jesus Navas and Stevan Jovetic competing for one position in an attacking line-up. Edin Dzeko scored a brace at the weekend in a much-improved performance, but Alvaro Negredo is expected to start at the Emirates.

Yaya Touré, in such great form recently, is 7/1 to open the scoring on Saturday. Bet here with William Hill!

Here is the side Pellegrini could select:

Manchester City 4-2-3-1 football formation

Referee: Mike Dean.

Prediction: Arsenal 1 – 2 MAN CITY – Our record over recent years away to Arsenal is hardly uplifting but there’s a sense of renewed purpose amongst the squad after a couple of excellent victories and our hosts have just hit a slightly rocky patch. Should we display the same commitment and quality as we produced against Manchester United, we ought to return home with another three points. Goals to be scored by Samir Nasri, Alvaro Negredo and Santi Cazorla.

Yaya Touré to grab the first goal and the Blues to win 2-1 is an astonishing 40/1 with Paddy Power. New customers get a free welcome bet of up to £50!

Fancy Samir Nasri to score the only goal of the game? William Hill are offering 45/1 for that to happen!

Why play Negredo ahead of Dzeko now? Dzeko is in better form. I prefer for sure Negredo but his form is rock-bottom the last 2 months.

Why change a winning team. I would play the same starting 11 that played against United.

Could be a game to play Garcia in even if it makes sense to leave the team as is…. He was excellent there last season, come on boys the usual ingredients required, no elbows please.
