Norwich v MAN CITY – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team

7 Feb

Micah Richards is available after sitting out the past couple of matches in order to work on an intensive training schedule and if Manuel Pellegrini decides that Pablo Zabaleta is in need of a rest, the Academy graduate could return on the right of defence. Matija Nastasic suffered a traumatising game against Chelsea and Martin Demichelis is expected to drop back to his more favoured central defensive role. Gael Clichy will likely replace Aleks Kolarov to complete the back four.

In midfield, Fernandinho and Samir Nasri remain on the sidelines, but James Milner should be ready to start having been named on the bench last Monday. Stevan Jovetic has impressed in his recent substitute appearances and with Sergio Aguero unavailable and Alvaro Negredo not fully fit, he is expected to slot into the side on the left, freeing up David Silva to roam behind Edin Dzeko.

David Silva is a cracking 9/1 to grab the opening goal. Vincent Kompany is an astonishing 33/1 to do the same! New Paddy Power customers receive a free welcome bet of up to £50!

Jesus Navas is 11/1 to score the first goal – surely worth a bet! Martin Demichelis, such a threat from set-pieces, is 34/1 to open the scoring with William Hill!

Here is the side Pellegrini could select:

Manchester City 4-2-3-1 football formation

Referee: Jon Moss.

Prediction: Norwich 0 – 3 MAN CITY – Our record over the past few games against the Canaries is excellent and I’d expect that to continue on Saturday. The players will be determined to bounce back strongly after the defeat to Chelsea so I’m hoping for a lively performance. Goals to be scored by Edin Dzeko, Jesus Navas and Stevan Jovetic.

Yaya Touré to score the opening goal and the Blues to record a 3-0 victory is hugely tempting at 33/1. Bet with Paddy Power here and receive a free bet of up to £50!

Jesus Navas to grab the first goal of the game and City to run out 4-0 winners is a superb 60/1 with William Hill. Bet with them here!

It will be a criminal desicion if Dzeko starts tomorrow. He needs to get the message that he was not good enough. Play Jovetic as a striker, Milner at the left wing and Javi Garcia at the middle

I think Garcia’s injured unfortunately. Might be wrong but I’d agree with you otherwise

Why is pellers talking about Chelsea/Jose?? Why bother Manuel? Just ignore the media & the stupid talk, we were lead to believe that the engineer is an intelligent man,do your talking on the pitch’ you just look ruffled & Jose smells that, don’t be the engineer to your own downfall,I’m very surprised by him’ no.35 to get a start, we’ll be watching you boy’ this is blue moon time sonny, we have a large donkey with a small cart, there’s some tasty carrots ready for consumption in may.

      SPOT ON GLENN !!!!!!

The Media have built up this mad idea of winning 4 trophys just so they can say we have failed.
If CITY only win the Capitol cup in PELLE’S first season I for one will be pleased. As for JOSE well if you listen to him you will get what you deserve.
