MAN CITY v Watford – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team

24 Jan

Costel Pantilimon is set to keep his place in goal for this game, whilst Micah Richards could return to the right of defence after slight stiffness in his hamstring. In the centre, Joleon Lescott and Matija Nastasic featured in midweek against West Ham, and with a tough away game to Spurs on the horizon, Manuel Pellegrini may opt to retain that duo and rest his first-choice pairing of Vincent Kompany and Martin Demichelis.

Yaya Touré sat out the comfortable victory over West Ham and may well return for this game, as could James Milner, but David Silva is out with a slight hamstring injury, though his absence is more of a precaution than anything. Rony Lopes will hope that his bright performance in London is rewarded with another start, while Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko could be partnered in attack, with Stevan Jovetic likely to appear in the second as he searches for match fitness.

Aleks Kolarov to score first and the match to finish 3-0 has the cracking odds of 28/1. Bet with William Hill here!

Here is the side Pellegrini could select:

Referee: Kevin Friend.

Prediction: MAN CITY 3 – 0 Watford – It would be a huge surprise if the Blues were not to continue their excellent form over the past couple of months. Goals to be scored by Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Yaya Touré.

Matija Nastasic is a tempting 25/1 to open the scoring. Sergio Aguero is 10/1 to score a hat-trick! Bet with William Hill here!

Well done lads on getting to Wembley, I’m delighted about that, we’ve some unfinished buisness with that place, after last years massive anticlimax, hopefully we’ll do better this time around,Sunderland are never the easiest of teams, but with quick passing & calm shooting with a bit of luck we’ll win the trophy, no such thing as a small trophy to me, I always liked the league cup, win that & that will be all the domestic trophies which would be fantastic, I never thought I’d be able to say that, great to see young lopes looking so hungry & full of skill, hope to see plenty more of him this season, why not?? 3-nil tomorrow, no injuries, p.s could dzeko be less of a child on twitter?? your not Rooney, show some class, i.e zabba the mighty, & yaya please stop talking. :-)
