Hart - Made one crucial stop late in the second half as Wigan pushed for the equaliser but was largely untested. Eager in his distribution - 7

Zabaleta - Started off very well and seemed to relish his captain’s role. Crunched into tackles and his passing was crisp. Managed to get into some advanced positions but end product wasn’t quite there  - 7

Savic - A couple of shaky moments but this was a marked improvement on his display against Liverpool. Not dominant by any means, but will learn when to chase the ball and when to sit off a touch. Comfortable on the ball - 6

Lescott - Showed his experience towards the end when he took command and looked assured, but was slightly unsettled early on. Wasn’t called into action too often and will need to be on top of his game for the visit of Spurs - 6

Clichy - Didn’t quite seem to have the energy he usually does but was competent down the left. Put over one superb cross in the second half although he was exposed for pace on one occasion by Victor Moses - 6

Barry - Wasn’t at the races early on as he struggled to gain a foothold in the game but grew into it and by the end, was putting himself about. Won his tackles and was positionally very good, although his passing wasn’t as incisive as normal - 6.5

Milner - Handed an opportunity to play in his favoured central role and did an effective job. As per usual, full of energy and quick to close down his man. Eager to join our attacks but his touch wasn’t quite there - 7

Nasri - Started very well and was heavily involved in our early attacking play, but there was the feeling that he held onto the ball for a second too long and that resulted in the sting being lost from our attacks. End product was lacking again but at least he wants to be on the ball - 6

Silva - Great to have him back from injury but didn’t look at his sharpest. Still heavily involved in all our attacking play and provided the superb cross for Dzeko’s goal but he will need to step it up a notch for Sunday - 6.5

Aguero - Worked tirelessly without reward. Full of running and intent but it was just one of those days for him when he couldn’t find the net. Had his chances, one of which was spurned by Dzeko, but the goals will come provided he remains positive - 6.5

Džeko - Pleasing for him to get his name on the scoresheet after he’s struggled in recent matches, and this was overall a much better performance. The header clearly gave him confidence and some of his hold-up play afterwards was superb. Looked a threat all game when we put crosses into the box - 7

Subs

De Jong - Brought on to provide stability but was wayward in possession. Gave the ball away cheaply a couple of times - 5

Onuoha - A rare first team appearance. Slotted in to form a back three - No time to mark

A. Johnson - Replaced Aguero in injury time - No time to mark

time to stop pick on nasri, atleast a 7.

Agree with pretty much all of this.

Savic looked pretty good for the majority and actually looked more assured on the whole than J-Lo did (who I thought was quite poor).

I was not impressed at all with Chichy. Crossing was poor, got outpaced in defence. We may as well have played Lolarov.

Milner is just awesome but, more importantly, one of the most consistent performers in the squad. One of the best signings of the sheikh era.

As you have said, His Holiness obviously wasn’t 100% fit but he is still one hell of a player. The ball in for Dzeko’s goal was brilliant. He needs to tell Lolarov that free kicks are not all about POWER!!!!!!

Agüero, again didn’t really look his best but a good performance nonetheless. Could have killed Dzeko after the wonderful trickery in the box. Could teach Lolarov a thing or two about defending as it was relentless from the little man all night.

Good to see Dzeko getting on the score sheet again but deserves shooting for nicking Sergio’s goal.

Good to see Onuoha. He is a very fast player, and provided he is given a second chance and a bit coaching, he can make an excellent full back. His speed can be a nightmare for any defender.

From what I understand not only he is a decent player but also very loyal to the club. This should not go unnoticed because loyalty is not something that you find in a lot of players you buy.

Could’nt agree with you more, i know he spoke out against Mancini, but he has great ability and actually wants to be at the club, it’s madness to be wanting to chuck him
