Leicester v MAN CITY – The PREVIEW: City’s Probable Team

12 Dec

Pablo Zabaleta has bounced back into form over the past handful of games and he is set to keep Bacary Sagna waiting for another opportunity. Vincent Kompany is expected to be fit for this encounter, meaning a tough choice for Manuel Pellegrini to make between dropping Martin Demichelis or Eliaquim Mangala. Aleks Kolarov may not quite be ready to start, so Gael Clichy should maintain his place on the left of the back four.

Gael Clichy has been a decent attacking threat recently and he’s a cracking 40/1 to score the first goal against Leicester.

Yaya Touré will return to the side after missing the midweek victory over Roma through suspension, and the Ivorian will replace either Fernando or Fernandinho. David Silva is another who could step into the starting eleven after getting half an hour under his belt in Italy, while Stevan Jovetic will hope he is given the nod ahead of Edin Dzeko.

Back Yaya Touré to score the opening goal at 7/1 with Paddy Power. New customers get a free bet of up to £25 here!

Here is the side Pellegrini could select:

Manchester City 4-2-2-2 football formation

Referee: Jon Moss.

Prediction: Leicester 1 – 3 MAN CITY – The home side have been playing fairly well recently without quite getting the results they deserve and they’ll no doubt be fired up for this one. City, however, are beginning to click and are full of confidence. I’m backing goals from Stevan Jovetic, Samir Nasri, Yaya Touré and Leonardo Ulloa.

Yaya Touré to score the only goal of the game is 28/1 with William Hill. Get a £20 free bet when you bet £10 here!

Samir Nasri to score first and City to win 3-1 is a tempting 66/1 with Paddy Power!

I would stick with the same line-up as Roma game. Probably ease Sliva/Kolarov into game for another 30 minutes and have them one more week of rest. I would let Kompany have one more week of rest as well till Palace game.

I see no reason why bench Milner, he has been fantastic.
