Eventually it came down to United's forward dynamo van Persie being injured, and David Silva, City's whizz-kid midfielder picking up the game by the scruff of the neck and making the vital difference. What? He didn't? You mean that City managed to put four past United without arguably their best player being on the pitch? Not at all? So really it started out as an even contest and City had no advantage over United whatsoever? Sheeesh! Whatever next? This was a strange game.
