YaYa Toure is a immensively talented but ultimately selfish and lazy player. I know I’m in the minority but there are 2 options. Play him as a false #9 with no defensive responsibility or ship him out. A player of his abilities should be bossing the mf. An overrated player who does not remotely carry his weight or justify his salary.

Nice ratings, agree that Negredo is a better version of Dzeko.

We need some movement in midfield, and someones gotta step up and beat a man in there. I don’t know if Fernandinho could’ve been that, but I get tired of seeing Yaya jog to the ball rather than sprint.

I watch Arsenal with Wilshere driving past that first man and I get jealous..it frees up the rest of the attack

I didn’t see the game apart from on MOTD so can’t comment except for the following:

1. I was completely disheartened with what I saw on TV last night.
2. From the report above, nothing changes – Garcia, Nasri – get rid!
3. The line that REALLY worries me is in the comment on Jovetic….quote “Didn’t really contribute much, but not due to his lack of effort, mainly due to the fact Stoke pressured us and we couldn’t keep it in midfield” unquote

My God, not just Jovetic, but isn’t it likely that EVERYONE will pressure us! We are supposed to have bloody world class players and they don’t have the ability to hold onto the ball. If we haven’t got David Silva on the pitch, there doesn’t seem to be anyone capable of holding onto and/or passing the ball bi am very concerned about this and have always been to be honest – even when we won the league. If a team pressurises us, we go to pieces. C’mon lads – get a grip and earn the money you are getting paid!

Not sure on what basis you like/rate Garcia. Pound for pound one of our worst buys and this was clear very early on. That said, it wasn’t him but Nastasic who lost Walters for the harder to miss header. Nastasic I’m sure will be very good but he does have a tendency to lose his man (as pointed out by Hansen).

I’m still flabbergasted that we didn’t shell out £25-£30m on a world class, dominant centre back (as opposed to another CM in Fernandinho), when it’s been patently obvious we were weak/thin at the back – we even let “Captain Panic” Kolo leave. if it was between retaining Barry and getting in a CB, or buying the Brazillian; it’s a no brainier…
