Totally agree with you Siamack. Whoever let Barry go has little understanding of football. Was it Mr P?? If so, he does not understand English football. This was a woeful display and I predict they will let in more goals this year without Barry. Get him back asap!!!!He was fantastic for Everton and showed just what City will miss this year with him gone! If City are expecting Nasri to do his job they are in for a disaster! Can't even defend at free kicks! Ask VP!

Barry was the most underrated player in City squad. I still can not believe that we let him go. He used to keep his head down and do all the dirty battle in the midfield to clean up in front of top 4 and win balls. This is something that our midfield lacked and lacks. I was truly gutted to learn he was let go

Again, the real benefit of Barry is not understood by an observer. Not only does he cover defense but he links play so well going forward and can do so without taking 3 touches of the ball. The team is a mobile unit and the quality of that starts from the back and hopefully moves through the team. To state that Barry is not the answer to the Stoke problem is a one dimensional view that is unfortunately apparent in many football 'managers' who may have some intelligence, but do not have the sense to view, recognize (hopefully), and then react. They seem to always want to act based upon what limited information they have gleaned from training sessions. Homework is important. Had Pellegrini studied prior seasons videos of the team he would have discovered a lot about the team and the individuals - but that would require some out-of-the-box thought and effort, which aside from Don Revie, of which managers seemed totally bereft

Agree with Crispy. We should never have let Barry go.....one of my favourite players and and an unsung hero over the last 3 years.

As for Yaya..........I have no doubt he will turn it on against United next week, because that is what he does.....turn it on when he wants to.......he gets more and more like bloody Adebayor every week. The end
