No, you're not the only one slightly perturbed.

It was good to see it. But after defending Yaya Toure's zombie act Saturday ("had to be exhausted/hurt") and seeing him look entirely a different player a few short days later, it made me think that these he (among others) had indeed stopped playing for Mancini.

And professionals should not do that. Ever.

I think one of the things the players - rightly - didn't like about Mancini, was that he was the first person to point the finger at underperforming players, but the last person to admit to failings of his own. Sometimes his tactics have been shocking, when we're chasing a game and he neither owns up nor learns from it.
And on your point about Milner - yes! The quality of his crossing, shooting and reading of space is getting better all the time. I'd pick him 4th or so on the teamsheet - no small praise in this side!

Too much player power methinks thse days. This is bound to happen with players on astronomical salaries despite them being world class

Hang on a minute, am i the only one who is slightly perturbed by this performance? I'm glad mancini is gone as i think his affect had ran out of steam but apparently now reading the sports pages the players are no delighted that Mancini is gone because he was somewhat of a hard taskmaster. Oh Bless, now they can start to actually plat well, i mean it's not like hardworking fans have to fork out a fortune to pay to see these guys play reguarly is it?
And know i have read that one player apparently contacted a reporter before the sacking and asked "can we put the champagne on ice yet"? I think our players are good guys but if there is truth to this then they need a wake up call, fair enough I don't think Mancini was the right man for the job any longer, but no wonder if the players adopt this attitude to firm management.
