I personally liked the lad,however; it did not take much for majority of City fans to realize that despite his occasional brilliance and huge potential, City and Balo were not made for each other.

I am glad we recouped most of money we paid for him and I do hope that very soon John Guidetti can step up and fill the void.

Finally, I do wish Balo the best in his career. Fair well and good luck Balo.

Awesome article, very well-written. Glad to see him gone. I’d expect him to have better success in Milan as he will be the feature piece in attack, and thus, may not lose interest as much.

I have to say that I loved the boy. I admired the talent, thought everything from the placing of the ball, the gentle approach, the subliminal drop of the shoulder to the walk back upfield, after he inevitably conversion of a penalty, just the finest piece of set piece individual artistry and theatre that anyone will ever see on a football pitch.

His contribution shaped the 6:1 thrashing of the Rags.
His performance in the FAC Semi win was truly impressive.
His strangled last ditch effort to make that assist for Kun in the last ditch moments of the QPR roller coaster was the thing of legend.

Sure, he could have done so much more but heh man – he was something to remember and what I pay my season ticket monet and travel a 13 hour round trip to watch!
