Have to agree with Billy, if Bayern came to Eastlands needing a result i think they would have turned us over again. The two results against Napoli scuppered us in the end.

We do need a better partner for Kompany at the back, but personally think Barry has been great this season. Nasri still not impressing me, hopefully more regular football will do the trick.

You may have aquired 10 points but that stat is a bit misleading. You beat Bayern who fielded their reserve team (no Neuer, Schweinsteiger, Ribery, Robben, Muller, Gomez, etc). You got lucky to beat Villarael at home as they deserved a draw. And you didn’tbeat Napoli in 2 attempts.

As a club you still have cause for optimism what with being top of the league. You’ll get another stab atCL footy next season and if youimprove your ranking by doing well in the Europa this year you may well get a better seeding next time.

IMO you still need to improve your 1st 11 to challenge thebest. A partner for Kompany anda deep playmaker to replace Barry (Modric is the best thereis outside of Barca). Maybe a pacey wimger in the mould of Bale, Ribery, Etc as well.

Good luck for the rest of the season. Hope you come 2nd in the prem behind my team Spurs.

Now that United are out i don’t feel so bad.
That said we never deserved to go through and some players did not perform in this campaign at all (Edin Dzecko)

Mancini should wind the curling cup, play youth in Europa league, Let our second team get a playing chance in FA cup and then focus on EPL 100% to win the title.
