I agree with the boateng and Kompany combo but it wont happen in the derby, central defenders need a mutual understanding and this needs time to develop. And although i would love Richards back against United rushing players back from injury is never a good idea. Just look at Stephen Ireland’s disgaceful fall from grace!

We desperately need Micah to recover from this injury so that he can slot into right back and we can move Boateng into center back alongside Kompany. Micah and Boateng along with David Luiz are the three best young defenders in the world and we are lucky enough to have two of them on our team. Those 2 need to play every week alongside Kompany. Kick Kolo to the curb as these two are both infinitely better than him

I agree, homegrown players seem to fritter it away much more tham Spamish players.

Tevez was the majestic one for me, his commitment on the pitch along with his thirst for goals will hopefully put us in situations where we can win things this year. Kolarov, Kompany and Silva all had really good games and the usual suspects of Zabaleta, Milner and Barry did the jobs that are vital to any sucessful team. The main sticking point for me is a certain Yaya Toure, he did not have a good game at all, though he did not do anything seriously wrong either. There is no doubt in my mind he is a world class player but some of his decisions, both passing wise and positional, have let him down recently and he has not been at his best. Couple that with the almost lethargic way he carries himself and he can easily be the one who gets it when things are not going well. He will come good, and do not be surprised if it’s in the Derby.

I hope Mancini utilises Kolorov at left mid for the derby. He is a player who wants to get involved and take the game to our opponents. This is exactly what we need on Satarday. Oh and Silva is a hero and so under rated by fans of other clubs. I am sick of the usual Gareth bale soundbites, Siva is world class and part of a hugely gifted generation of Spamish players that would run rings around any of the hyped up “homegrown” players (just think Bent and Carroll)
