I wish to echo your concerns over our recent performances - unless Mancini organises us into a more fearless, attacking-minded outfit like chelsea, I can see us falling away into mediocrity during the second half of the season.
Nice review, by the way!

I hope you forgive me for combining comments for both articles into one here:

Being honest, being a City fan would not be half as interesting if we won as easily as we should on paper.
I shall say now that I completely sympathise with Mr Hollaway - his side were, by far, the better on the day. They played with no fear and it showed in the first half. Blackpool were completely demoralised by 3 frankly poor decisions. Other managers, such as a certain red-faced Scot and a Frenchie, would have been absolutely outraged by the decisions, I respect Hollawy by acceptin that, while wrong, the decisions were those that the officials thought were correct.

Back to the game... In all honestly, for all the efforts of Tevéz and Silva (who Hollaway was adamant was David Villa), we didn't deserve 3 points.

Adebayor was playing like a 6"3' Robinho - the air shot was particularly gruesome and reminded me of David James playing up front against Boro several seasons ago. To quote another blog that I have read ..

"Emmanuel Adebayor should hang his head in shame after another piss-poor performance against Blackpool - put simply, he needs to buck up or bugger off"

Both Fullbacks didn't look fit, I think we went backwards when Richards and Viera came on. That goal conceded may prove costly at the end of the season. Goal Difference and my chances of beating Dan and Matt alike.

I think you're a tad harsh on Kompany. Both headers that he had on goal, especially the first one, he was running away from goal - a marvelous run at that and did fantastically well to direct it at goal with any power at all.

De Jong did look terrified of making a tackle - I fear that any player he tackles from now on will try their upmost to have him dismissed from the field with numerous rolls, leaps and dives.

Silva and Tevez were both marvelous - the latter possibly a little lucky to come away with a brace - and definately won the game for us.

Rant over. Goodnight.
